At the end of last summer Le Magazine du Monde called us to ask if we would like to contribute to their Carte Blanche page again.
Every week Le Monde ask a different artist to contribute to Carte Blanche, the brief always being to take a picture of whatever you find stimulating at that time.
The interesting thing about their proposition was that they wanted to give me ten pages to play with, something that they have never done in the history of the magazine.
I was very complimented to be given this huge opportunity and thought it deserved a project big enough to warrant the ten pages. My idea was to cross the United States visiting as many of its iconic landscapes as possible; I wanted to show the diversity of the huge and amazing country in a very beautiful and atmospheric way.
So here is the series that emerged from our 6500 mile adventure. American Wonder.

On the 20th September 2012, Space Shuttle Endeavour took the last slow steps towards her final resting place, The California Science Centre, Inglewood, Los Angeles.
It was ironic to observe this amazing vessel that once orbited our Earth at thousands of miles per hour, now slowly being towed down Crenshaw Boulevard slower than walking pace.
There will be an edition of just 10 40″ prints.

This is the mighty Glacier du Tour in the Mont Blanc region of the French Alps.
From the summit of the Aiguille du Chardonnet (3’824m) to the valley floor is a staggering 2’600 vertical meters and only 80 years ago this beautiful glacier stretched all the way down.
The glacier now starts a vertical kilometre higher up the mountain.

Last night I was very proud to be part of RSVPHRH an exhibition organised Nick Pringle and Clarke Edwards of  CHI and Partners London.
Their idea was to ask leading visual artist to design an invitation to Will and Kate’s wedding. My idea was that Kate had a rambunctious punk rocker cousin. Her rsvp read ” Dear Kate, words can’t really describe why I’m not coming to your wedding so I’m sending this picture instead”
The print measured 6ft and was a real talking point…..check out the false nails ! I also had a few punk rockers hanging around for added affect.
You can see more of the exhibition at www.rsvphrh
